Out of curiosity and passion for the human mind and its potential.”

Ancuța-Liana Mihăese is a Romanian based clinical psychologist and cognitive behavioral therapist, founder of caalm.ro. She studied psychololgy at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca where she got her license and masters degree.

As a practitioner, she worked for the past five years with people suffering from various psychological affections, from children with autism or ADHD, to grown-ups with anxiety, depression or personality disorders. Aside from the work in her private practice, Ancuța has also been collaborating with companies, NGOs, schools and kindergartens, helping people from different socio-economical backgrounds.

The Caalm project was inspired by the wish to deliver quality mental health information and services online, and to make it easier for people everywhere to access and get the inspiration and help they need.

”It’s all driven by curiosity. My biggest passion was always to discover the hidden mechanisms that power our world. When I was young that meant disassembling, unscrewing and unraveling all the things I was curious about. Later it started to shape up as a passion for the human mind.

My work approach is now guided by my personal values. I like to establish a partnership with my clients and consider them my equals in the therapeutic process. When working this way, I am less of an explorer myself and more of a facilitator for self exploring.”
