Deciding to consult a mental health professional and choosing the type of services needed can be a difficult challenge for most of us. There are a lot of new labels and when we’re feeling down we are less open to navigate trough them.
We still need however to find the appropriate help for us. This is why we decided to describe to you in a few words the kinds of collaborations available with us. We hope this will give you some clarity and make the decision easier for you.
Specialized Psychological Evaluation
refers to the process trough which we investigate the mental health state and behavioral characteristics of an individual.
In the course of one to three sessions the psychologist will ask you questions and administer tests related to the purpose of the evaluation.
Finally you will be issued an individualized psychological report along with the clinicians recommendations for intervention or further investigations.
Psychotherapy
is the best known form of collaboration between a client and therapist, usually structured in the form of weekly sessions.
A CBT therapist is someone who will guide you in your sessions to discover the cause of your negative emotions, and will offer you appropriate techniques to reduce your distress.
Counseling
similarly to psychotherapy it’s structured most likely into weekly meetings.
In these the therapist and the client collaborate to help the client reach it’s objectives. They can be of a personal nature, skills and abilities one wants to develop, or they can be goals related to one’s professional career.
Masterclasses and Events
are learning experiences developed for the community, on different psychology topics. They can address to large audiences of be of specific interest to smaller groups.
In those, we tackle subjects like parenting, mental health habits, self help strategies for depression or anxiety, healthy communication strategies and others.
